DAWN reaches out to US Diabetes Educators


DAWN FEATURED IN FIRST AADE WEBINAR


The American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) presented the first ever web-cast of a professional continuing education program entitled, “DAWN:  Real-world Application and Strategies.”  The program was provided through an educational grant from Novo Nordisk and was hosted by the Diabetes Institute of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Over 550 sites were registered with more than 2500 participants on-line from the US, Greece, Mexico, Sweden, Canada, Denmark, the UK and Japan for the April 4th web-cast.  Faculty included Martha M. Funnell, MS, RN, CDE, Robert M. Anderson, EdD, Roger P. Austin, RPh, MS, CDE, Linda M. Siminerio, PhD, RN, CDE, Michael A. Weiss, JD and Robin Nwankwo, MS, RD, CDE. The program was taped and will become a web-based continuing education program with 24/7 access. The web based program will be available for viewing through the AADE website.
